Terms and Conditions

By installing or using LaceFi Autofill ("the Service"), you agree to the following terms. If you do not agree, please uninstall the extension and stop using the Service.
1. Service Description
LaceFi Autofill is a Chrome extension that uses artificial intelligence to assist with form entry on Moodle-based quizzes and Google Forms. The Service is intended for practice and study purposes only.
2. Credits and Payments
- The Service operates on a credit-based system. Each AI-answered question consumes credits.
- New users receive a one-time welcome bonus of free credits.
- Additional credits can be purchased via M-Pesa through Paystack, or earned through referrals.
- Purchased credits do not expire as long as the associated license key remains active.
- Credit prices are displayed in KES and may change at any time without notice.
3. Refund Policy
- Once at least one credit has been used from a license key, no refund will be issued.
- If a license key has not been used at all (zero credits consumed), you qualify for a full refund.
- To request a refund, email support@lacefi.co.ke with your payment reference number.
- Refunds are processed within 7 business days.
- Free credits are non-refundable.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or tamper with the extension or its backend.
- Use automated tools or bots to interact with the Service.
- Upload malicious, illegal, or copyrighted content as study materials.
- Abuse the referral system by creating fake accounts.
- Circumvent rate limits, credit systems, or security measures.
- Exploit bugs or vulnerabilities instead of reporting them.
5. Account and License
- License keys are issued automatically after payment.
- We reserve the right to deactivate any license key that violates these terms.
- You can retrieve your license key using your payment email and reference number.
- Credits from multiple purchases are automatically merged into your active license.
6. Study Materials and Uploads
- You may upload study materials (PDFs, documents, slides) to improve AI accuracy.
- Uploaded materials are processed into embeddings and stored securely.
- You must have the right to upload any materials you submit.
- We reserve the right to review and remove any uploaded content.
- Uploaded materials may be used to answer questions for other users at the same institution.
7. AI Accuracy
- The AI provides answers on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee 100% accuracy.
- Answers may be incorrect, incomplete, or outdated.
- You are responsible for verifying any answers before submitting them.
- We are not liable for academic consequences resulting from use of the Service.
8. Service Availability
- We aim for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
- The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, AI provider outages, or technical issues.
- We are not liable for any losses caused by service downtime.
9. Data and Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of data as described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, LaceFi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes. You can view all system updates and changes on our Release Notes page.
12. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these terms or is harmful to other users or the Service.
