Privacy Policy

LaceFi Autofill is a Chrome extension designed to assist with form entry on Moodle-based practice quizzes. We respect your privacy and only collect the minimum data required for the extension to function.

Data We Collect

  • Email address: Used to create and manage licenses and track quiz credits.
  • Quiz questions: Sent to our server to generate answers. Questions may be forwarded to third-party AI providers (see Data Sharing below).
  • Moodle domain: Your university's Moodle URL is collected to scope study materials to your institution.
  • Quiz usage / user activity: Tracks which practice quizzes are autofilled and how many credits are used.
  • Uploaded documents: Study materials you upload are stored and processed into embeddings to provide more accurate answers.
  • University name: Collected on document uploads to scope materials to the correct institution.
  • Issue reports you submit: When you report a problem, we collect your selected issue category, note, timestamp, page URL/title, and extension/browser version details to help investigate and fix issues faster.
  • Bug report page content: If you use the in-extension "Report Issue" feature, a snapshot of the current page (the HTML of the quiz you are on) is sent to us so our engineers can reproduce and fix the problem. These snapshots are auto-deleted after 90 days.

Payment Information

Payments are processed securely by Paystack. LaceFi does not store credit card numbers or financial details.

How We Use Your Data

  • Verify licenses and manage user credits.
  • Enable the extension to autofill forms on Moodle practice quizzes.
  • Process quiz questions using AI to generate answers.
  • Scope uploaded study materials to the correct university so students only access their own institution's content.
  • Investigate and resolve user-reported issues, including diagnostics you choose to share.
  • Manage the service and review uploaded content.

Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal information. Quiz questions are sent to third-party AI providers (OpenAI, Google Gemini, or OpenRouter) solely to generate answers. No personal information is included in these requests.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data. All communication with our server is encrypted.

Your Choices

  • You can uninstall the extension at any time.
  • You control whether optional debug data is included when submitting an issue report.
  • License and credit information is deleted when accounts are removed or licenses expire.
